I was born
in the mountains! Does that make me a climber? I don't know! Ugweno Kilimanjaro
Tanzania; This is the village i was born, where i spent 7 years of my childhood
and all the Christmas & new year seasons for over 13 years!
When i look at
these mountains i remember two things,
1. Childhood moments and naught things i
did with friends and siblings. We use to steal sugar canes in villagers farms,
and stone beehives trying to get some honey! We also organize some fights as we
intended to know who is the fighting champion of the village. I also remember how we moved from one house to another during "Ubarikio" celebrations, just eating and drinking.
It was funny and crazy and really naughty. Rest in peace to those gone. I miss you all. Its also a place i got my home name; Tyson (don't ask how)

2. Climbing
to the top of where you can see with a bucket of water or a burden of livestock fodder on
your head. At some point you'd have a headache but you gat to make sure there
is enough water at home, and cows
have enough to eat.
It has
been 5 years since the last time i visited; and here i am, all the memories
coming back to me, like it was just yesterday! Wondering a boy who could go to
and fro up to the top with a bucket of water 6 times a day for so many years!
DO I CALL IT HARD LIFE? NO, NOT AT ALL. I call it adventure! I call it
rehearsal for whats real.
As am looking at the valleys and top of the mountain
i reflect what "Building a life of your dream" is like... you gonna
have to fetch water from the valleys and climb with it to the top of the mountain! And
It may happen; one trip isn't enough! depends on how you use and the
number of people in need; So you gonna have to go back once again and perhaps 3
times, 4, 5, 6, 7.... 10.
Your outside will get exhausted, its OK! It can
survive it! What matters the most is the IN-SIDE-"YOU"... Make sure "YOU" don't quit! As you start you will simply not see yourself go 6 times or more but eventually you will count and see that, you have achieved it. That's how building something is!
So if you have a dream all that you have to do it to start working it out. it doesn't matter how many times you will have to climb and go down on that maintain, only that matters is YOU ARE LIVING THE MOMENT; YOU ARE WORKING OUT SOMETHING YOU BELIEVE IN.
Remember there are so many
adventures on the activity! Friends and family are will always be there to make
sure you make it regardless of the trips you'd have to go. Last but not least;
just keep it positive! its not hard, it only makes you harder.
ENJOY THE MOMENTS
great one man,we should never stop exploring and enjoying the moment.
ReplyDeleteYou know even me i misses those moments man, too many friends and cousins have grown up now, i don't even dare to remind them all the fun we had back then. i guess they are in their own mountains nowadays.
