Green Is Beautiful: An Article about Environmental Management By The LIGHT Team

Paris Environmental summit in November 2015 was one of the biggest environmental summit ever happened. The summit didn’t only discuss the environmental condition which of course reportedly to be worse compared to years before, but also it suggested the initiatives to be taken as to improve and conserve our environment.

Most scientists have argued whether the initiatives discussed are applicable or not! Some have conclusively argued that, the initiatives discussed and agreed are nothing but politics which eventually are left behind when leaders gets back to implementation of the agendas discussed.

With environmentalists’ contribution insisting on China and USA to resolve their unimproved methods of reducing industrial pollution, Most of them as to give an alternative have suggested that, If China and USA will improve their emission policies it is then when therefore will save in a big percent the global deteriorating environment.

In this article, we mean to discuss how environmental conservation can be taken from micro level and eventually bring the global achievement our leaders have always been discussing to achieve.

First of all it’s important to understand that environmental conservation is a very sensitive matter and is a concern to all of us. It is an agenda that needs all of us if then we want to achieve better results.

With developed countries struggling with ways to improve their industrial gas emission, In Africa where most developing countries are located the environmental condition is not better. According to statistics, sub saharan countries are the leading in deforestation and overgrazing, the future of our environmental is still a riddle.

Let alone civil wars, terrorism and  religious conflicts which turns to be a very serious threat to our environment, African needs to be enlightened about the consequences we are bringing to the environment and how it kills the fostering of environment, especially to the coming generations.

Here are few points we find significant to share;
Change begins with few people or even one person: I have a friend in a place here in Kilimanjaro known as Shanti Town his name is Amos, Amos loves gardening, he started his garden two years ago when people around had no motive on conserving nature at all. But he was doing it for himself, because he loves green environment.
I presume everybody loves green environment,, only that sometimes we are not ready to commit our strength into creating it.

GREEN IS BEAUTIFUL. Thus let’s take it as a personal obligation to make our surroundings green. Where there is green, there is life. Amos now has caused a massive impact to the people in Shanty town as now most of them pay him to make gardens for them. He does not only enjoy the payments, he does enjoy the change too.
It just need us to begin something then Change will find its way to other people. We can start by planting one tree, one flower, one fodder grass, in few months we then find out we have changed and improve a lot on our environment.

There is a direct relationship between our environment and our health: here in Tanzania we have this saying, protect environment and it will protect you. We get most of our food from the environment, we get our medicines from the environment, we get good location to rest and breeze with our loved ones from the environment. We can’t separate our life from environmental issues. We are killing ourselves by killing our environment; nevertheless we lose nothing by improving our environment, as the matter of fact we gain even so much by protecting and improving it.

There is a natural interdependence between human happiness and and environmental condition: Biologically, both plants and animals are living things, we all have life, and life is as much important to plants as it is to humans. Just like you can’t have peace to kill your fellow human being, the same applies to when you kill the environment you will lose connection to beauty of life and surrounding and it will be hard to find it joyful to live in such environment. It is a bit of beliefs but, logically if the environment isn’t pleasant then how possibly can someone be happy living there?

In Third world countries some people who experience hardship in life have this saying “it’s better to be born a dog in Europe than to be an african” this is a mind of an idiot, one who doesn’t know that Europe did not descend from heaven but it was made. Made by diligent people and people who have love towards nature. If you are obsessed with the beauty of Europe you have to know that you can make your home even more than Europe, by taking a good care of your surroundings, family, work and yourself.

LET IT BURN FROM WITHIN OUR HEARTS, A DESIRE TO MAKE OUR ENVIRONMENT OUR RESPONSIBILITY. THE WAY OUR ENVIRONMENT APPEARS SPEAKS A LOT ABOUT US. It is our responsibility to put the future of our world secured.
