Sometimes I wonder why people/astronauts go to space! Why take such
risks and spend billions of money just for a single trip to the moon, or
sending a rocket to mars!? Isn’t there any other important mission they
can do on earth? Isn’t there any other significant investment they can
do to improve human lives? If you roughly think this way then you won’t
understand why astronauts go to space. I didn’t understand in the first
place either, until I got in-touch with friends who are scientists. The
Max-Plank Institute of Gravitational Physics friends in Hannover
Going to space is the greatest achievement science has ever made. We all know how the information about the moon and the galaxies has enlightened our understanding and improve so many things. Above all it’s the most amazing adventure in a life time.
It’s really challenging to tell people about life. This is because first, everyone has his/her own, secondly; everybody is busy with his own and third everybody is conservative to his/her own ideologies. Forth everybody’s is like “what the hell do you want to say? What and where do you know about it?” I am or let me say, I was that way too! Whenever someone wanted to tell me something about my life, I’d evaluate that person first and then “am listening” or “leave you talking to yourself”
Honestly when we can’t listen, read or watch whatever’s trying to tell us about life, it shows how immature and frustrated we are about life. It’s good to listen or hear even when we know a lot. By the way there will never come a time when we know everything. When we learn we are broadening our understanding not only by hearing what people are saying, but rather measuring what people are saying. Some answers and breakthrough of life are just inside us, only that, it needs humbleness and decision to commit ourselves into learning.
What is life? Of course everybody has his/her own definition! Just like success. My definition of life goes like this; “Life is an adventure and a gift that gives opportunities to improve everyday”
The definition itself tells it all. It’s not complicated. It’s clear and understandable. Well it does not mean that this is the most appropriate definition or we should all adhere to this! No! I’m just sharing my approach about what life is all about.
This definition has always got me prepared. As you can review on it; it literally leaves all the chances to me, to shape and build the life of my own. It gets me into a position where I don’t expect anyone to be responsible for the life I want but me being responsible for the life I want.
1. Life as an adventure makes me understands that, just like any other adventure, it has a lot to show me. So I should be exited to face whatever it will bring on to me. Furthermore I should get my attitude right to enjoy every moment of life, knowing that it is meant for that.
2. Life as a gift brings a sense of gratefulness especially when I know that I didn’t pay anything to get this gift. It is just a favor from who/whatsoever gives life. I respect what I have as much as I respect what other people have. I don’t compare myself to anybody or even put myself in a race with anybody because am unique to anybody, what I have, probably not everybody else has and what everybody else has I probably don’t have.
3. Life is giving opportunities each day. It places me in a position to understand that eventually if I fail, I will have nobody to blame. Furthermore opportunities need to be utilized, and the utilization or effectiveness and efficiency of the utilization is determined by how PREPARED we are. Hence it gives me a sense of initial preparations before the opportunity(s) passes me by. I want to be a CEO then I have to learn and live what CEOs have to. I want to be a great father and an amazing husband, am obliged to learn child growth and psychology, I am obliged to learn about how a woman should be treated like. And not just to learn and know, but to start living it by treating and exercising it to the people with and around me.
4. Life is not a fantasy! I will not get somewhere I didn’t work to get into. I will not get there if I didn’t prepare myself. I will not get there if I don’t have what it takes! And if I will get there unprepared or without what it takes, the chances are; I won’t make the most of it.
THE BEST TIME TO HAVE A MAP IS BEFORE YOU ENTER THE WOODS.
