BE AN ANSWER: An Article based on Paris Climate Conference of 2015. By Team Light
Recently global leaders have been in a summit to discuss environmental challenges facing our global today. The 2015 COP21 or CMP 11, also known as the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, will, for the first time in over 20 years of UN negotiations, aim to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate, with the aim of keeping global warming below 2°C.
Several initiatives have been announced aiming at conserving the environment, and resolve our current environmental challenges.
COP21 has indeed been one of the thoughtful mediation by UN and global leaders to deal with climate challenges. Presidents, business people, and the richest people in all over the world have attended and give out their willing support and plans to achieve the suggested environmental conservation deal. Presidents like Obama, Hollande, Xi Jinping, are one of the presidents attended and provide a great deal of support towards the initiatives discussed.
Leaders argued that the keys to success lie in convincing U.S. and Chinese policy makers: "as long as policy makers in Washington and Beijing didn't put all their political capital behind the adoption of ambitious carbon-emission capping targets, the laudable efforts of other G20 governments often remained in the realm of pious wishes.
With Africa being the less represented continent, yet the initiatives included them at large. China has suggested the investment of clean technologies in developing countries as one of the ways to cope with vast climatic changes.
From Paris Conference The Light Team has therefore reflected COP21 as a significant summit to learn, and to review about the leadership behind COP21. Nonetheless to join a hand with environmental conservation activities/programs in Kilimanjaro region, Tanzania.
“In a world where most people live for themselves and very few cares for the future of our world and the coming generation.
A world where environmental pollution is a critical phenomenon; far worse people use deadly weapons to kill people, animals and plants without any care! Is a very big tragedy to our environment!
A world where most people have given up, upon the leaders and intellectuals of the next generation; because of so many summits and less implementation.
A world where Africa is still in darkness of what environmental summits, economic development summits and humanitarian initiatives are all about. The participation of African countries have been so rare, resulted to deprived implementation and as result the progress has been so gradual.
The world is now in need of the leaders who will be firmly grounded in implementation of the discussed policies in both environmental, humanitarian and economic development meetings. Leaders who will make decisions and stand for what’s best for the present and the coming generation.
It doesn’t need election for us to be leaders!
How we focus on what’s matter for human development and strongly ground ourselves in logical decisions: Decision that “I AM GOING TO BE AN ANSWER EVEN WHERE AND WHEN EVERYBODY OR/AND EVERYTHING ELSE IS A PROBLEM”
We CHOOSE TO BE AN ANSWER; WE CHOOSE TO ENGAGE AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WORLD’S GLOBAL PROBLEMS AND CHALLENGES. WE CHOOSE TO GIVE THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE, ENERGY, and INVESTMENT FOR THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE GENERATIONS.
THIS IS OUR LEGACY. AND SO CAN IT BE YOURS TOO!
